Holliday FBC asked The Sound Guys to completely redo their A/V system from the ground. We came in and did some testing and measuring and here is what we came up with: 3 Phases-1) Complete sound system with BOSE LT Technology, 2) New distributed projection system, 3) Add new gym system using old sanctuary equipment.

Sound System: The Sanctuary used this equipment: Bose LT6400′s and Lt MB24 Subs..Sennheiser G3 wireless…Yamaha Power amps…Sabine Graphic Q2 Digital Equalizer… Monster Sequential Power up…Williams Hearing assist…Audix carbon fiber Shotgun Choir mics…Audio-Technica Shotgun Baptistry mic…horizon 24 xs 4 Snake…Sharp 60″ LED-LCD on rear wall.

Video System:The distributive system for projection utilized Kramer vga over cat5 distribution with the Kramer 4×4 matrix router to all multi-ins and -outs, kramer video to vga for their cameras and kramer vp-729 for computer and dvd switching. This will allow them to send everything to the DVD burner, nursery, back and front screens, and allow for future expansion such as lobby screens or a wireless send to the gym. Currently they are using Easy Worship 2009 and we have added the capability to do the screen foldback option for the Stage Display using the Matrox triple head to go. Eventually, they will install 2 new front screens.

The Gym: We are reinstalling the JBL eons in the Gym and adding a 70V distributive system for the classrooms and kitchen area. This will all be enclosed in a MidAtlantic wall enclosure rack and use a simple Yamaha 8 channel mixer.

New system blew them away…and they have great acoustics

The Sound Guys also specialize in custom drum enclosures. Below is one from my church. It was a difficult shape due to the platform shape. It has 2×6 framework, double insulated with 5/8″ sheetrock, carpet padding, pegboard (to absorb sound but not let it back out), and is wired for LED lighting. Currently, it houses a pearl masters custom drumset and a 12 channel mixer grouped to the main board (4 channel mix: snare, bass drum, Left toms and overhead and right toms and overhead). This enclosure cut down on stage noise and now rocks cleanly through our BOSE longthrow system. Also added was a stage for our guitar and bass equipment, as well as, a higher place for our players to stand out of the way. We were also able to use the peg board in the back as a return air vent to allow the AC to flow freely from the newly installed vent.

Here is a project from a Church In A Day program by the UPCI.  They build a church from the ground up complete with everything in 24 hours or less.  The Sound Guys installed the AV system, on a budget, but still with high quality equipment.  BOSE sound system, Media Shout, Dalite screen, Hear Technologies In ear monitors, Back LCD screen, Benq Projector custom mounted to subwoofer.

Here is a youtube clip of all of the action.
